Chris Parry BSc, is a Licensed UK radio amateur, G8JFJ, located in Waterlooville nr Portsmouth, UK. The third edition of his popular e-book entitled "The Restoration of Valved HF Communications Receivers" is now available. This free e-book covers the restoration of these radios to full working order as well as describing numerous models of such sets. This latest edition has many changes, especially to the details of individual radios, and in the glossary section. Many of the tips and techniques are in fact applicable to valve sets of any type, and includes radios such as the Eddystone EA12 amateur bands radio.
Chris has worked for many years on design in the radio manufacturing industry and is now an enthusiastic collector and restorer who likes to restore sets to their original specification. He’s keen to pass on his experiences in order that equipment from the valve era will be preserved in working order.
