The only thing that makes it seem a little better is as a friend says "... well half of it goes straight to the tax man". Sorta helps for the moment I repeat it.

Hope all went okay at the show.
Was disappointed I couldn't get there, especially as I had got a couple of items for the B&B – you got shot of all my stuff last time! Perhaps save it all for (I presume) May? Unfortunately work called. I had even bought enough fuel for the journey having got some a few days before all the bother emerged. As for salaries, skill level plays a part. A breakfast disc jockey comes in at somewhere around a £1m, except they don’t jockey the discs anymore as it’s all on computer. And to think some used to cue the records on turntables whilst on a rocking ship! Okay, I have a gripe, as the BBC have removed in its entirety what had been the increasingly meagre amount of programming that I enjoyed on the likes of Radio 2 and other stations. I’d hazard a guess that the cost of all of them probably wouldn’t have reached £1m.

Next Retrotech is 8/5/22. Let's hope that nothing stops it going ahead as planned.

I am back home and somewhat recovered after the journey.
A big thank you to all that organised and worked so hard to put on this event. What a brilliant day. It was great to get back after so long and see so many familiar faces again. I have to admit that the thoughts of a large crowd in a indoor space made me a little apprehensive. But my fears were misplaced. The venue done a great job on keeping everyone safe. They installed large extractor fans high up on the sides of the building and when it got busy the large roller doors on the sides were opened. There was an abundance of fresh air for everyone. They really couldn't have done any more. There were a lot of telly's there this year. I think more than I ever seen before. Some from every decade up until the 80's at least. Frank

Great to see you at lunchtime at the show, Frank. Hope the jetlag was not too brutal!

Hi Jeremy
It was great to meet, I enjoyed our chat. The jetlag has dissipated. The crossing was bumpy, I was OK I just feared for the valves .I got on OK with customs. The customs official that dealt with me had a above average knowledge of electronics. I love the way that they have a friendly casual conversation with you but at the same time they are interrogating you. Frank
