Do we need anymore radio museums?

Well Gary,
In all my time I have never been to a radio museum.
There are a few mining museums about me, but a tin mine looks like a tin mine.

I have been there, AND done a pretty severe 4WD along the old railway line he built over 100 years ago. ( no tracks left of course )
Its interesting that the track was origionally a camel transport road.
BUT, most whites will deny that statement.

Anyway, Australia has bugger all history, and very little in historical value or even significance.
I do notice your link is probably german or similar, and full of dead radios :-).

You are spoilt a bit I think !!!. WE have the opposite choice, Nothing or nothing.

We need big museums with many aspects of technology, so this could span domestic technology over the years, to some commercial and industrial technology.

If I won the lottery, I'd open a huge museum which would have radios, test gear, other commercial tech, computers and even some newspaper printing presses from the past and not so distant past.

Since nobody ever appeared to carry his vision forward - needs money and time as well as intent - his collection is being dispersed. All the broadcast related kit is coming to us at the Broadcast Engineering Museum.

Edit: I agree that a direct link to the specific YouTube video is better than a player within the Google video search results. Tells Google a bit less about us all, and no ampersands

I'd love to stop using google but the likes of duck duck go usually find lets say 10 search results whilst google may find 100 for the same search!

Yes indeed. He did actually enquire about a flat bed press and/or a letter press compositors machine at one point at a site I was at which was closing. Eventually it was moved but to another museum somewhere.
