The attachment shows the chassis of a Pilot TV37. Before any work can be started a full set of valves is required. The original 3" electrostatic focus and deflection CRT was a type 3KP4, there's no possibility of finding one the UK and it's not much better in the USA where the set was made. However, a friend in the States has donated a suitable tube for the set.
The IF amplifier valves are 6AU6 pentodes which are not too difficult to find. The three valves in the two band tuner are 12AT7 double triodes.
The timebase valves are 12SN7GT double triodes which are now subject to the attention of the audiophools and as a result commanding high prices!
The negative EHT is generated by an RF oscillator which employs a single 25L6 beam power tetrode. The EHT rectifier is a 1B3GT.
The missing loudspeaker was an energised type. An RS components permanent magnet 'speaker will be used along with an HT smoothing choke.
