Hi,

I joined the forum in July and having closed my television sales and repair business I now have time to introduce myself.  After 53 years of lifting, delivering and repairing television sets I have retired.  Over the next year or so I will be disposing of all the leftover spare parts, service manuals and equipment that I have acquired over the years.

My interests are amateur radio, especially any form of radio direction finding, classic cars and photography.

Hi Geoffrey and welcome to the forum.
I still have one of these from my boating days http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/electron_se...x_200.html.
It is not much use these days for navigation, but I did have some fun with it outside with the traffic.  If you put on a green hi-vis jacket and stand by the road side, pointing this device at the oncoming cars speeding down our busy 30 MPH limit road, it is amazing how much they slow down by.

They just have to renew there brakes a bit more often instead of paying a fine.
