Radios wrongly depicted in TV Progs

As you might know Al, I am keen on the HRO but hey yes bodge 'em we did, it was the only way back then for most of us on a somewhat limited budget. I remember when I built my first transistor broadcast superhet I think the set of new Weyrad IF and Osc coils cost me a weeks wages (not sure how far out I am there) I was on the grand sum of £2.10s a week before stopages when I first started working in the trade. Was I happy back then...No the wages were sh*t.

In tonight's episode of 'How we won the War', a close-up of the radio dial made it obvious that it was a post-war model, since the station names included 'Light' at 1500m. Most people who watch such programs know that the Light Program, Home Service, & Third Program didn't start until after the War!
