Sometimes Rob we get complaisant in everything we do.
I know I do.

At least it is fixed well done.

cheers Mark

[Joe]

Nicely done. Interesting about the frequency changer valves too.

[Joe]

That cabinet looks better than my recent GEC so you should be OK with it.

ah but i dont have your skill joe.
i need a real old scrapper to have a go at. oh and a lot more time.

[Joe]

There was no skill in that one.

Beeswax polish rubbed in with fine wire-wool, or a synthetic equivalent which saves bits getting where it shouldn't, is surprisingly effective. It doesn't so much clean as moves the dirt around which helps to cover scratches &c.

Actually, it's often more time-consuming and difficult saving an old finish than just stripping the whole thing and starting again. I've got a Bush SUG26 awaiting it's turn and that's how that one will get treated.

true joe i may have a go with this as they are not rare or worth much.
trouble is the cabinet is not that bad.
i suppose its just a qustion of biting the bullet and getting stuck in.
i have a few days off at the end of the month so will have a go.
at the moment i am going through a pile of sets that has bulit up trying to find if there is anything i can scrap.
just found a cossor and i have about 15 battery portables.
so much to do so little time
