I have been looking at redrawn circuit diagram kindly supplied by Andy (M0FYA) for the R 1082 receiver, the rgen arrangement is one I have not come across before.
Basically there is an RF amp followed by a triode regen det feeding to the AF valves.
Both the grid and anode of the RF amp are seperately tuned, however the feedback (tickler) winding from the det anode is coupled to the anode winding of the RF amp.
The RF amps anode coil (a tunable one) is capacitively coupled to the det grid from the junction of the RF anode and that anode winding.
My initial thought was that it was to effect a better coupling arrangment from the RF amp to the regen det.
Any one seen this arrangment before or any ideas?
Lawrence.
