Bush lcd15tv - scart selection

Hi All,
A good friend of mine gave me his old lcd 15 tv unfortunately he has lost the manual. I've connect this to an older dvd player that I have and although it 'works' I get wavy diagonal lines across the picture almost like the tv isn't tuned correctly.
There doesn't appear to be a scart selector from the tv remote so I am thinking that there is an input problem.
Any helpful suggestions would be most welcome.

can you alter the output on the dvd player?
it sounds like its set to RGB not composite.
