Philco/Ford T162X HG.

This another of my auction haul sorted out.

   

All it needed was a new battery snap and holder fitting plus a small repair to the case.

The most curious thing as the Ford Motors logo next to the Philco name on the front. I wonder if it was some sort of dealer give-away?

Hi Joe, this will explain the link with ford.

It could be possible that your radio is imported.

Philco is a name I remember being applied to really cheap and nasty Made in Hong Kong things when I was a child and was surprised to see what a long history it had when I started dabbling with radios.
