Being serious, this design might be a go'er - what is valve V35 though? I assume that this is from a German set such as Grundig or Telefunken?

I picked up the Pye VHF3D this weekend and I have attached some pics.
Generally, it appears in very good condition and although large it is not that heavy.
Its interesting that the Radioforum has this set as having an EZ80 rectifier when there is actually an EZ81 in this chassis.

I can't see a Balance Pot, although that may just be the camera angle. I think I can see the actual Pot in the picture of the 'Insides'. It's not shown on the Trader VHF3D Circuit but it is on the VHF2DRG.
I'm not sure it was always fitted. It's an 'Edgewise' control just above the Pye Symbol on the Dial.

The chap that I bought it from wrote to me today to indicate that the edgewise 'knob' had broken in half and he was going to post it on to me.
