The sad news has just reached me that David Read, one of the founders of the BVWS, died on November 15th. His son informed me that he died of heart failure at the age of 91.
David became Vice Chairman of the BVWS in 1977, its' second year, then Chairman in 1979-1986 and Treasurer for a number of years from 1994. He was a close friend of the late Tony Constable.
I now have funeral details (Golders Green). If you wish to attend, please PM me. I will not post funeral arrangements on this open forum.
We expect to have an obituary in the Bulletin soon.
