I have been catching uo on this most impressive thread. If you have time its worth it.
1942 Capehart 500M Restoration Topic - Antique Radio Forums (antiqueradios.com)
There were 6 videos but now 7 and 8 have been added. The guy doing the work is a Pro restorer of high end stuff and has impressive know how on Capehearts.
Apart from the multi featured turntable being difficult the Radio chassis in Video 6 is very daunting.

He makes excellent videos and his accent is easy on the ear.
At least my Philips radios didnt use pot-meta.
