I've just acquired a second-hand TV of the above make & model, which works perfectly, except that the volume cannot be turned down via either the remote or the down button on the set. Fortunately it's set to a comfortable level, but if the 'volume down' button on the set is pressed it will switch the TV back to standby instead of reducing the volume, whilst operating the 'Volume Down' button on the remote has no effect at all. The 'Volume up' buttons on both set and remote work as designed. I haven't opened the set to check for anything obvious, but fear it may be some processor fault. Anyone else know what is the likely cause, and is it fixable?
