Were KB and its associated companies the Worlds Largest Electronics Manufacturer?
This clip from a 1957 KB brochure seems to say they were.
Can anyone comment on this or give evidence to the contrary.

Weren't they part of STC, and thus ITT at that time? They also shared factory space with Brimar...

FWIW, I was sponsored through university by ITT, and did my work experience at another subsidiary, STL (the research laboratory part of STC) in Harlow - the same place fiber optics were discovered and initially developed.

I worked there on digital exchanges and then designed part of the Doppler Microwave Landing System for Harrier jump-jets... as we couldn't afford a real Harrier, I learnt to drive by pretending to be one http://golbornevintageradio.co.uk/forum/...1#pid65911
