As part of the restoration of the BBC Outside Broadcast Van MCR21 http://mcr21.org.uk/ I need to do some drawings of the interior reconstruction, mounting shelves, frames, ducts, etc.
Rather than using pencil and paper I thought I might have a crack at using a cad program. I am fairly computer literate, spreadsheets/word proc/websites etc. I tend to use open office & Gimp a lot but never dipped into CAD.
There seems to be a wide choice of "free" programs to be had, but I wondered if there was any advice as to which to choose?
I did look at a tutorial for Librecad which seemed promising, but I don't want to go down the wrong choice.
the plans will be quite detailed and I need to be able to print and exchange files with others when it comes to the construction stage.
