I have never trusted a main agent to service a vehicle.
Having been in the motor trade for a while many years ago I heard all the horror stories of car agents and experienced the problems of dealing with them first hand.
We employed young but trained mechanics , most of the main agents employed untrained post pubescent idiots at the time.
I could write a book about some of the terrible errors they made and the shoddy work demanded by the management to con a dollar from the punters.
When we later bought new vehicles for our service business, we bought wherever possible at a discount without warranty and did all our own service and repair in house. The only times we had any serious problems was when the vehicles were under warranty and "serviced" by the agents. I think they must have serviced them in the dark with blinkers on.
On the Victor FA debacle, the other day I saw an estate early Victor, must be one of the rarest cars on the road, and it looked quite good too!
