The RG6 looks to be quite good quality and I'm sure it will be entirely adequate for what I want.
The Cable is tywrapped to the Pole at regular intervals so I don't expect it to flap about. It has a Drip Loop at the bottom and slack inside so I can lower it down.
As far as rigidity goes that isn't a bit of Aerial Erectors skimpy Ally Tube it's 50mm Scaffold Pole with 5mm Wall. If it was horizontal you could walk along it. If there's enough Wind to damage it then most od Burton will lose their Rooves.

Scaffold poles are tough, they have to be, standard roll cage for off road competition racing in Landrovers were made from that stuff, the log deck in my old sawmill was made from the same, that regularly had 20 tons imposed on it as well as the odd sawlog being dropped on it from height that occasionally slip off from the unloading grab on the timber lorry.

Sorry Lawrence, I never replied to your Post about Venues. Yes, it was the Crystal Ballroom, long gone by the look of it. I fear I was much too impecunious to go there. I used to go to School nearby so passed it regularly. Nearby were the Alma and the Greyhound Pubs which I was much more familiar with, and also Sid Chadwick's Radio Shop where I bought my Radio bits.

I've still got a drilling steel from my mining days somewhere that was used in a Holmans 303, it's a starter drill, 2ft long, sometimes when drilling the cut, a long drilling steel would run into one of the cut holes next to it, impossible to remove so had to blast with it in situ, that used to bend 'em, we used to use them as lateral supports for temporary staging up in the stopes, they would carry the weight no problem.
