Like you I've got lots of o/c ones.

With the 2 valve set with the AF2 I have decided to take the AF2 out and replace it with a different one so I can use the AF2 in a completely new set built from scratch.  What I think I will do is take an o/c transformer and stick in a LT44 to see if it works as well in this 2 valve homebrew.

OK Nick, I'll bear that in mind while bidding. You may be right about "untested" meaning "duff" especially as he is sell a pair of Tannoy Silvers and shows him testing one of the voice-coils.
I'm going to ask him if he can use the meter which he obviously has, to test the transformers!

I have just realised that the seller of the Tannoys is not the seller of the Xfmrs. so the jury will completely disregard the last statement - except that I will ask him.

Hi Brian, can you post a pic or details of "the small round transformer" you require. I have some that match that description so I'll have a look.
I've just been fixing and HMV 1508 "portable" radiogram. It used a mu metal cored AF transformer with balanced windings to couple the PU to the amp, and had dire warnings about not doing resistance checks on the windings for fear of magnetising the core.
I may have some radiometal lams if you need one winding.
