Handy little 'hook' test clips.

On 2 Jan 2015 I ordered a pack of 32 little 'hook' type test clips, four each of eight colours, though dark purple, black and dark brown are very similar in colour. They arrived today, well within the estimated delivery deadline of 2 Feb - not bad from China. As always, the Customs declaration said it was a 'gift' and in some respects I guess that's not a bad term to use, given that they were just £3.94 post free - about 12p each! (They were well below the Customs duty threshold anyway).

I bought them to use with the little 'multi-tester' jobby, for which they'll be ideal. Nicely made little things and very functional. Cheap, it's true, but not 'cheap tat'.

Much more convenient than 'croc clips'.

It's up there with the cat knocking something noisy over, just at the moment your measuring mains voltage in a tight confinement.

Ideal for hooking onto transistor leads for testing - very compact, nicely made, functional and ludicrously cheap. I was surprised at how quickly they arrived. Notwithstanding the economies of scale, I'm still nonplussed as to how they can produce stuff so cheaply and of decent quality, and get it from China to the UK yet still make a profit.

Where would we be without google, ebay & paypal? I remember the days when - if you wanted a copy of a circuit - you placed a small ad in say PW magazine or Radio Constructor, waited a month to see it it was published, then waited another month to see if someone came to your aid and you got a reply.

Sorry all for always arriving in a topic at least a year late - I tend to 'dip in' whenever I find myself at a loose end . . . anyway, I have a couple of Tek logic analysers - a gorgeous little Sony/Tek 308 and a full-blown 7D01/DF2 for my 7k 'scopes. I have probes, but only a few clips, and these look to be just the ticket! Yes Alan - time to kill some more stranded comms cable for the leads!

Much the same as yours but I believe these are slightly larger as I like to use larger cables if I can to reduce any resistance overhead the leads add. Never seemed to be an issue with a analoge meter but these digital ones draw your attention to the difference your leads make and not many meters have a zero ohms adjust so that you can factor them out.
