Thanks Colin; yes perhaps the higher priced ladders have the bumps installed but at £39 more expensive this is a huge bump in price?

I just knew as soon as I bought a set these ladders would be on sale everywhere in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they now appeared at Morrison's and Aldi?

The ladders we have both got though Colin are very good quality for the price we paid for them. I wonder what quality the Maplin ladders are and if they come covered in flashing lights?

I've not visited Maplin for years because I used to take along a wish list and maybe come away with only a couple of items together with an offer "we can get them in store for you tomorrow". Whilst in the store I couldn't help noticing all the flashing lights and imitation flames etc? I now find it cheaper and more convenient to buy online. Perhaps Maplin will now also start to sell timber and aggregates?

Maplin are good for special offer spotting. I once bought a 3 stage regular extending ladder from Maplin at the end of summer when it was on special offer. It was about the same price and extended length as yours.
