Eagle Products Something or Other

Has anyone come across one of these before? Eagle Products comms receiver. I've no idea what model this is but looking at it clearly it's going to give an RA-17 a run for its money. I was gifted it a few weeks ago.

I've given it a wipe over with a damp cloth and given it some volts and unfortunately the lights are on but there's no-one at home. Despite what looks like a mains transformer I think it's an AC/DC set and that's an auto-transformer. I think.

It's of Japanese manufacture and it may well end the same way as the 'Yamato' if it doesn't behave itself.

Any thoughts on its origins most welcome.

Seems they are more marine based than general coverage receivers.

That first one looks like yours, but without the rust and mouse droppings.
I vaguely remember the name and style from adverts, but that's about all.

I've since found this was badged as the Monarch Ham-1 and with Si rectifier, the Layfayette HE-40, the Hallicradters S-120, Vestitone CR150 and Star SR-40.

It's heading for the radio skip in the sky I think.
