Just wondering whether anyone can give some ideas for the following fault
on this 10 year old unit:
Tape loads up OK but 9 times out of 10 won't lace up.
When it has loaded it just travels unlaced in slow forward or reverse for
around 30 secs and then stops.
On the rare occasions it laces up - again it travels forwards for a few seconds but
then unlaces and stops.
Instructions from the remote do not appear on the display or change any function.
My first thought was a faulty/tired belt upsetting the transport...and therefore everything else...
but that's been replaced and the fault remains.
