thank you mark,I have taken note of your suggestions and will "have a go" the option of calling in is appreciated,but living way north of the Watford gap rules this out .I have a manual downloaded from yourself ,and up to a point I can follow the circuit,I do not have an RF generator or an audio distortion meter (first time hearing of one).

Will persevere and let you know.
