Metal is (and has been for many years) the weapon of choice for many electronic engineering professionals, especially those who work with SMDs. The precursor to the PS5200 series, the MX-500 series, was industry standard for probably 10 years or more.

OK (who were bigger) bought Metcal (who were smaller) and then changed the whole group name to Metcal, as in the industry, Metcal is the DBs
