That Trader sheet is, to me, clearer and more informative than the one in the R&TV Servicing books, which I had when repairing the P117, Lawrence, but even on the Trader sheet, no sensitivity figures are given. I connected my AM/FM SigGen to the FM aerial input via a 75 ohm coax. cable clipped to the dipole sockets, and found that I needed at least 80-100uv for full o/p , with the volume control at max. setting on 89, 95, & 97Mhz., when I'd expected to inject less than 10% of that. I couldn't find the limiting point at any setting of the SG's o/p either.

Further thoughts on the above - unlike most other radios of the day, the P117 is surely in some ways a 'short superhet', having one less I.F. stage than others. I found the A.M. performance to be adequate, receiving 4 MW & 1 LW station (Radio4) at good strength, but VHF dissapointing.

I haven't got one, and it certainly is an eccentric Circuit, but then so is the Fenman II.
Presumably it was just meant for Local Stations. Alan

I note that the Trader Sheet (thanks Lawrence) refers to the P117 as a Reflex Receiver, but it's still a superhet, nonetheless.

Reflex stage on FM only so far as I can make out.
