UL41 Valves

New old stock Mullard ones are listed by 'Vintage-Parts.com (URL markhindes.easywebstore.co.uk) @ £20 + P&P. They also, at the time of writing, have one Used& tested example for £10 + P&P. Various eBay sellers also list them at reasonable prices, but I'm beginning to wonder if these aren't now becoming part of the 'audiophoolery' myth. There are two 'military grade' new UL41s on eBay from different sellers at £119.90 & £129.00 each at the moment

That's probably for 10 of them, I don't think the audio brigade would have a desire for them.

I would think that is the price each, when I was looking for one about 10 years ago on ebay, £10 would have been a good price to get one for, I would buy 10 new ones now if I could find them for £2 each.

Yes simple supply and demand .
Its not a very reliable valve but used in a vast amount of sets.

That's for 10 pieces, i.e. about 12 quid each which seems the going rate for NOS CV1977s.

There's no traction for these in the audio market that I know of, I suspect that prices will always creep up due to the lack of any new manufacturing.

The last block of 10 of these I bought about 4 years was about 50 quid ISTR. Langrex (who I quite like) are selling NOS Philips Miniwatt UL41s for 13 quid (+P&P).

If you want madness, look at some of the rarer nixie tubes. GR-414/GR-411/CD47 (when they can be found) are over 1000 euros each, i.e. for a single tube - 12 years ago there were just over 100 euros a piece...
