My first motorised transport was a Cycle Master with the engine built into the rear wheel. It didn't revolve but had clever epicyclic gearing to transmit the drive. It really was just a sturdy bike complete with pedals for starting and getting you home if it broke down. But a pig to cycle far ! I did have a lot of fun on it though.

It must be quite hard to ride as there is no clutch or gears.

I guess it might be tricky to steer at speed due to gyroscopic action of the front wheel/motor assembly, with the added mass of the engine trying to prevent turning. I notice they didn't show the actual starting and stopping, either! I think it could be tricky in traffic. Couldn't see any gear mechanism, so is it single speed direct? It bizarrely looks like a production bike. Unusual, certainly. I don't think I'd be in the queue for a ride on it, though.
