Lithium-Ion Battery

I have just bought a new cordless drill/screwdriver, I've been using it today but haven't flattened the battery.
Unlike my old drill, which had a NiCad battery, but after more than a decade of use the battery is all but kaput, this new one has a Lithium-Ion battery, which I am unfamiliar with.
My question - should I charge it up immediately after partially discharging it and leave it fully charged, or should I wait till it is flat before recharging? Which is better for the life of the battery?

Just charge it whenever you wish to - they don't "form" the way that Ni-Cd do. For absolute best life, let it fully discharge the first couple of times before recharging, but after that just pop it back on the charger whenever you rest between screws.

PS - they are supposed to have a life of around 500 charges, but I have a little Bosch cordless driver that is now about 4 or 5 years old and has been charged much more often that that and just keeps on going.
