Yes! but I would have to buy a compressor, gun and soda first and find somewhere to keep them (short of space).

Just cleaned up a sub chassis that had rust and electrolytic leak damage on top. Used abrasion and the old Phospho acid and spray painted it and the main chassis + a metal bottom with Hammerite smooth. Now what was I thinking ? Really dumb going to all that trouble as I can get it all plated in "old nickel" (looks very original and not custom car) for £25 and its far better. All the rust / corrosion is killed, it never comes off, solder tags bond properly without cleaning off paint or masking first and dropped solder does no damage.

I may still have it done ... talking myself into it. It came about as I didnt do a proper assessment first. I didnt reckon to take off the Ct8 valve bases but had to in the end, just too filthy. And I had already sprayed the main chassis first ... so continued down the unsatisfactory road.

Thanks for adding this video Joe it is very interesting. Unlike Gary I do own a compressor so expenditure would be low in order to do some Soda Blasting. Many years ago I bought a sand-blasting gun similar to a 1ltr paint gun but found it was useless; perhaps had I known to use soda then I might have succeeded.

This soda blaster would be very useful to me because I'm always playing around with lumps of metal and parts of machinery that require cleaning. It will be worth looking into for me.

The guy made me sick though talking about 74 degrees in December perhaps Bron and I should become his neighbours.
