Hi,
Thanks Refugee. The VFD is A Huanyang Inverter Type HY02D223B from Hongkong as discussed in my thread;
http://golbornevintageradio.org/forum/sh...p?tid=3677
It would be nice to have all the information in one place for others to use rather than bits of information scattered around taking forever to locate.
This 2.2KW VFD has up to 250 parameters many of these being factory set but leaving plenty to baffle a novice like me?
When I was running on the manual controls I could adjust the maximum speed up to over 10,000 rpm but now with the remote pot installed I only seem to manage just over 2,000 rpm? I'm sure you are correct Refugee in that I need to set the parameters and I will eventually sort this out once I can stop dashing around and settle down in the workshop.
The lathe is now working perfectly and is very usable with it's remote controls but I'd like perhaps 3,000 rpm as a top speed and have a full sweep of the pot for the variable speed range.
Out of curiosity I tried two 5K linear pots in series leaving one on 5K using the other as the controller but this failed as it didn't make any difference; it was only an idea and I knew I wouldn't hurt anything so gave it a try.
I'm not a VRAT member.
Kind regards, Col.
