Workzone screwdriver charger needed

I have a Workzone 4 in 1 Li-Ion screwdriver type WWCS-4N1-18 from a friend who has lost the charger. A new one is not wildly expensive but with shipping from Austria it gets a bit dear.

Its a 5.5v 2A charger according to the instructions, with a coaxial barrel type power plug on the end of the lead.

Making a new charger is easy but has anyone any idea what size that power connector is please?

The hole in the handle is deep, looks to be just under 4mm. The standard size plugs vary between 3.2 and 3.8mm but with many differing sizes of center pin and also length.

There seems to be so many special sizes of these now, I need help!

Has anyone got one they could measure for me please?

Brilliant Trevor, and so quick too.

Trying to measure the "socket" with a twist drill is futile and nothing I have would measure the pin.
I am guessing that this is a long plug judging by the depth of the hole in the handle.

No wonder I could not work out the size, its crazy how many there are now. Originally there were just 6 sizes!

Hi Sam.
Mine is a little different but here goes anyway.
The plug from tip to the start of the plastic insulation is 12mm, I don't have calipers but as far as I can tell the diameter is 2mm. The centre hole again looks like 1mm. I've a box of DC connectors and none of the ones do they are either slightly too fat or too short.

I thought that THE Japanese yellow plug from some Sony minidisc players would do but again its a no no. Looks like a non standard plug....... Crafty

The sizes are so close, could you measure it more accurately  please ?  A drill shank for the center pin fit?

Will do my best Sam.
Give me half an hour.
Well it looks like the outer diameter is 3mm its the same as a H3S drill. A 1mm drill is fractionally larger than the plugs hole. Never thought of using a drill to be honest.

Oh and the length of the total contact surface is definitely 12mm.
