Pye PE60/PZ60 dial glass

Hi All,
I bought a PE60 a long time ago being poorly packaged so the dial glass was smashed to pieces during delivery. I bought a second PE60 (PZ60 with magic eye) which I collected myself. In moving things around in my garage I have dropped a box on it by accident and broken off a small corner of the dial glass!! They are very fragile being a long piece of thin glass.

Can you suggest a repair method so that I can scan the original dial and prepare a transfer slide with a better glass (I can make a second then too).

Locktite Glass bond works if the break is clean and the edges not chipped, it sets hard in UV light (daylight, even an overcast day) It can give an almost invisible join.
It is best to prepare and make the repair indoors with the curtains closed, then open the curtains to let it cure a little and then move the glass outside to fully cure.
Or use a UV lamp if you have one.

Ron, I used another piece of glass covered with thin but smooth clear plastic (to ensure it did not stick to the glass) to try and make is so the pieces were mated together in the same flat plain.
If the crack is across a painted part then after the glue has hardened, black paint on the reverse of the dial can help mask any small crack.
