I have a HP4195A network and spectrum analyser. A very fine instrument that almost bankrupted me when I bought it about 15 years ago. It was essential for my business at the time but doesn't see so much action these days. For a long time I've wanted to interface it to a PC rather than just see plots on the screen or print to an ancient printer with GPIB interface. The printr probably doesn't work any more, it's been in a box for many years.
The available interfaces are:
* LIF formatted floppy. Hard to read on a PC
* GPIB/HPIB/IEEE488 port.
The latter is a more attractive option and seems others have been there before me.
I'll need one of these:

I wonder if it would work with the GPIB to ethernet adaptor though it does cost more:
