Hello Mark,
Thank you for the welcome. I have attached a link to the JYE forum. http://www.jyetech.com/forum/viewforum.p...&start=100 Fifth page in and sixth post down is on the latest firmware update. There is a link from here. The poster "jye1" seems to be the representative of JYE. on this forum. Its not the stuff I remember reading but seems to be more up to date. Hope it helps. As I remember the processor was the only smd that was already fitted to the board so fitting the rest was not so bad.
Hello Rob,
The Banggood kits I've had also all worked first time. One of the most useful is shown here http://www.banggood.com/86-Plastic-Shell...956240.htm I bought two of these mainly for its ability to read ESR. The later one has more facilities. Getting it to fit a case that I don't think was made for it probably took longer than to build it.
Hello Trevor
Nice to find you here. I agree with you that this stuff would not be good enough for professional use. I did take the above to one of Normans meets and compared its ESR readings with his tester and it was really very good. Normans was a homebrew but not a kit.
My latest kit from Banggood is called "Tube Amp 2" . Its a two valve headphone amp. Not instructions or circuit. A bit of working out to be done to work out where caps go as although resistor values are marked on pcb caps are not. When I build these Kits I tend to check all components for their values as they are sometimes hard to read. I haven't tried it yet as I haven't decided how to power it yet. I have added one of the pictures from the website.
