output transformers

Hi
I have a sanyo radio 17h-815 , the output transformer is missing.
I'm wondering if I can know the specification of the transformer using the schematic, I'm just a new to electronics.
Can anyone help me with this issue.

Hi Aras, if you know what the valves are and if single ended/ push/pull, as well as the speaker impedance (typically 3,8,16 ohms, but NOT the value as measured with an ohm-meter). A replacement transformer can be designed. Some uidea of the space available for it would also be a help.

I'm afraid it's full of Transistors young Ed, although the idea still holds good.
According to the Radio Museum the O/P is 2W so I guess it's a reasonably large P-P stage.

2SB405 are the output transistors, the output transformer in the schematic looks as though it operates at two power levels,
Normally the Eagle LT700 is a good substitute for lower output transistor radios, the LT700 is to drive a 3 ohm speaker.

Occasionally larger transistor output transformers turn up on Ebay.

Another possible source might be 'Vintage-Parts.com (URL http://markhindes.easywebstore.co.uk/) who stock a range of new & NOS components for both Transistor and valve radios, etc. (NB - How do you insert a link on this forum?)

Hmm, a slightly odd Circuit due to the battery Saving Mode, but if you didn't care about that, and didn't need a lot of Output, then I guess normal Transformer, as above, would be OK.

As I understand it you broke the Radio Museum rules Nick. Details, other than those that come up when a non-member accesses the site, are for members and you are on trust not to distribute them. I guess they struggle to make the site pay as most in old radio do.
