Its been finished and working well for some while. Its on display in the dining room and gets used nearly every day. My wife likes it a lot and says its not to be moved: well OK until the next one gets done and then that has to have its turn.
It was a long restoration but interesting with many unusual features to it such as the use of ferrite pot cores for RF and IFs.
The Bakelite cabinet is a marvel with so many curves and of a very high quality getting a fantastic shine with hardly any effort. Amazing that it has no chips, cracks or even scratches.
The radio back was made from hardboard with the diamond hole pattern done using a quality metal jig loaned by Colin (Retired). Thanks Colin.
