I'm building a bit of kit in a plastic box (don't ask!).
The kit needs an extremely low noise floor - the stage I'm concerned about runs between 3Hz and 100kHz.
Apart from 100 other things, I want to use muMetal adhesive sheets on the inside of this box to reduce EMI, mainly in the 50/100Hz region, but also from SMPSs in PCs etc.
These self-adhesive sheets seems pretty popular, however I guess all the different panels need to be connected to a star earth. Is this the case, and if so, can I solder directly onto the muMetal. Further, will soldering it effect its shielding properties...
Thanks
