But I'm halfway up Winter Hill and within 30 miles of Emley Moor and Holme Moss! It should be perfect here, like FM and AM are. There are tons of people with this problem.
I can get any one of my VHF Transistor sets, even the Fidelity ones, and take it anywhere in the house or garden with no bother.
The DAB radio runs off mains because of the battery life and it is not as good and the programmes are intensely poorer. Indeed, the BBC Enginnering people said that to get a good Radio 3 or Radio 4, use a decent tuner and an outdoor aerial in a weak signal area. Which I am not in.
All the technical stuff aside, it is not as good as FM. And the British public realise that despite what the government tell them, as governments tell lies anyway,
