A question for the builders amongst you.
At first sight a completely off-topic question, but there is a direct relevance to vintage radio as I am planning a new shed to enable me to do the metal-bashing associated with radio restoration.
I have dug a trench to extend an already flagged area, which I want to fill with with concrete as a base for an extra row of flags. The rain held off and allowed me to dig it, but after yesterday's weather it is now half full of water!
So my question is, if I bale out the water, mix my stones/sand and cement and tip it in the hole, where it will undoubtedly get water-logged again, will the concrete set? I think waiting for a dry spell is a lost cause............
Thanks,
Andy
