Does anyone know where i can get some test leads like the attached? These fit my test hook probes perfectly albeit I've only got one set like it.

The identical ones were at one time sold with Aneng DVM from Banggood, they also were available separately, they are good enough leads so long as they don't come in contact with a hot soldering iron!!!!!

I bought an Aneng multimeter a while back so thats where these leads come from.

These are the only sort of leads that fit the Hirschman KLEPS probe (see attached). I cant find anywhere that sells the Anang leads without a multimeter. Does anyone know of any leads that will fit these KLEPS probes? All the ones that I have are too loose and fall out when trying to use them.

Any decent 4mm plug should fit these probes. A warning that the junction between the plug and probe doesn't look like it's shrouded and is hence a potential safety hazard when probing high voltages. I think that's how I got unpleasantly bitten by 1200V DC when working on a 'scope many years ago.

Alas, I wish this was true. I have bought a lot of different types of 4mm plugs but they are all very loose fits and drop out of the probe. I wondered if a shrouded connector lead would be a better fit?
What I have found with cheaper hook / grabber probes is that they have a very poor connection. The KLEPS ones are the best I have used but I cannot find suitable 4mm connectors / banana plugs that will securely fit.

Looking through my drawer of 4mm plugs, most have some kind of sprung section that can be eased outwards to give a better fit in loose sockets. Some others have splits in the pin so the pin can be expanded. Not sure I'd like to use any of them to make a lead where I'm probing high voltages. Some are awful in this respect, with metal parts easy to touch. The old fashioned stackable type with a cross hole are probably the worst. Others aren't too bad but I'd need to be careful.

You are indeed correct about using most 4mm connectors. I should have looked more closely at the KLEP probe as it has a locking screw to stop the connection lead from falling out, but of course it has to be unscrewed to insert the connector initially (doh!!). Now they leads I have bought are a really good fit and being screwed down slightly, don't fall out either!

Not sure where the screw is, but if it's metal I hope it's not too close to your fingers when using the probe.
