Sat Tel MRK10 VHF modulator

This is yet another VHF TV modulator like the one discussed in this thread but a little more modern.

It is branded Sat Tel and also came with an NOS power supply that looks and feels far too big for just this module.
I am unsure it it is VHF or UHF as there is a crystal on the PCB that it marked with what looks to me like the IF frequency of a UHF set however the unit is marked VHF. It is very confusing to me and I am threatening it with a frequency counter to find out what carrier frequency it puts out.

The 4 pin Painton connector looks very incongruous. One usage I've seen was as a mains power connector on BBC video distribution amplifiers.

I note that the frequency is simply shown as 'Hyperband' implying, perhaps that it is tuneable?

The Hyperband is the band above 300MHz and below broadcast Band IV used by European cable networks. (This filled the gap above the Superband between Band III and 300MHz.)

Note also the moulded SHUKO plug on the PSU mains lead which points to it being destined for use in Europe.

The Hyperband, like the UHF bands, contains 8MHz channels, so this would most likely be for System G whereas the channels under 300MHz were all 7MHz wide (System B).

It looks like we have something potentially less useful than I originally thought here.
I have got a frequency counter that will cover the range so that I can see what it will do in a lash up.
The power supply was originally acquired for a transformer pull for another project before I realised it was part of this.
Perhaps it aught to be re-homed in Europe then?
