Rogers Tuner info needed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone help with model number for this one, plus circuit service info?

It came with no valves as part of a large job lot.

Um! challenging restoration, personally I wouldn't bother.

Sorry! I have no info.

Rogers SFM11?

I can't find a schematic on the web so far.

Looks like a four valve job, might be an ECC85 in the front end judging from the radiomuseum pictures, might be worth checking what the discriminator/detector is, if it's germanium diodes then that should narrow the rest of the valve types down to probably EFxx types. If there's an electrolytic in the detector it should be a ratio detector, if that's the case then the IF valves might be all the same type and all under AGC control.

Lot's of pics is good, I wonder what the two phono sockets are connected to in the unit.

Interesting.

This is just my guess at the moment:

It looks the same as the SFM 11 as shown on the radiomuseum site, if it is then I don't think the last IF valve is an EFxx type as the valve shown in their pic is shorter plus the fact that the valve base pin out shown in your pics doesn't seem to tally up with any EFxx series valves. I'm wondering if it's an ECF80, the pin outs seem to tally up better, the triode section being used a a cathode follower, that might account for the twin phono output sockets eg: high imp, low imp.

The discriminator looks like a Foster Seeley judging from the orientation of the germanium diodes.

yes that looks like the one now I have a model number will do more web searching

If you magnify the radiomuseum pic you can see the three holes in one of the anode structures...square,round,square, the ECF80 pic at r type org shows the same..just an idea.
