Why use any 3rd-party software to take a screenshot? Simply press PrintScrn, which copies the entire screen into the clipboard. Or Alt+PrintScrn to copy just the current window.

Once done, paste it into MS Paint or your preferred graphics editor, and save it as a .JPG. Simple.

Equivalent operations exist for Linux and Mac.

Under Windows 7 and Windows 8 under "Accessories" there is a new application called "Snipping Tool" - this allows arbitrary rectangles to be copied from the current desktop.

Very useful...

Thanks for that Nick. To be quite honest I dislike W8 with a passion so have not investigated it to anything like the degree I did with XP. The warranty runs out on this PC at Christmas and W8 will be running out with it. Anyway back on topic.

Ignore the type of diode used for D1 and 2. Any old 1N400x will do.

The current limit pot will have to withstand the full HT to body voltage or be fully insulated from the chassis. VR3 is a preset and adjusted so the current limit starts to rise at the first movement of VR2.

Running the simulation at full voltage and the limiter set to minimum current showed there was still 5mA flowing through the load. Not sure if that will be a problem.

Going back to the 5mA S/C current, 4 of those 5mA are due to 400V across R1. In your circuit you have the constant current source set to around 1.25mA. With the current limiter grafted into your circuit the likely minimum current would be around 2.25mA.
