Mystery PYE - need some help to identify

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate the level of support on this. At least the search is narrowing down. For now I'll focus on the chassis since I've not found another cabinet that looks like the one it was in. In terms of its origin, one of my brothers gave it to me when I was in Limerick a few weeks back - said it was in our grandparents house for years. How it got there in the first place is anyone's guess. I've ordered up a replacement set of valves, partly because I'm building up my stock and also because I don't (yet) have a valve tester!

Valves are the hardest part to come by, if you buy of the E site, they cost an arm and a leg, but you do get some good ones cheap sometimes, i have a growing collection, from a foot tall (almost) transmitting valve right down to acorn valves....regards...Alan.

fortunetly i now have 20 ul41sa common valve but people ar now asking £8/10 for them , i also have this thing about anything made by mullard apart from preamp and audio output valves there is no point in paying the extra for any other types

I was just sent these.. He has managed to find "P52 among the green rubbish..
But is unable to find any record of the Pye P52

Just to let you know that the chassis now works fine. Sound quality is great. I'll see about getting the overall dimensions off the old cabinet so I'll either post them or the finished 'repro' cabinet once its made to see if anyone recognizes it. The Service sheet for the PYE T19 was the closest I could find to the chassis layout - it's close except for the bandspread part - mine has fewer bands than the 19.

Finally got proof that this set is indeed a model P52 - even though I can find no online info anywhere on it. A colleague in Ireland has the same set and the plate on the chassis of his unit is nice an legible - very clearly says P52!
