found a post on another radio forum where the guy has one and was looking for a circuit(sadly there was no reply)
but have PMed him asking about the valves and for pics of his unit hopeful he may be able to help

If you can't get a schematic you should be able to do some reverse engineering to get one, the chasiss doesn't look too complicated.

Page 46 of this magazine gives a brief description of the valve functions of a Rogers switched FM tuner which could be similar to Vince's, the cathode follower theory seems to be born out:

Looks as if the main smoothing capacitor is missing as well. Presumably the wires by the large hole at the rear end should go to the missing cap.
