By way of an update.
The "Westminster" has been lurking in the shed for a few months now & came to light again the other when having a bit of a clear-out.
I then spotted these on fleabay

Not the high output cart that would have been originally fitted but certainly of a similar (if not higher) output than something like the X3M cartridge of old.
Easy to fit into original mounting plate & comes with 2 "stereo" styli it drives the amp to a very respectable volume that appears to be just a little short of going into distortion at max volume
To be critical, it could be seen as a touch "bass shy" but it works very well for me & I would think it is certainly worth a look if your looking for a new cart especially for a "push-pull" amp that it should easily drive up to the max.

ps...........it seems that the o/p of these carts is declared as 0.85v, seems about right to me from the results in the "Westminster"
