The tone generators on mobile phones are very accurate and give a variety of waveform shapes.
One I use here derives the 103.5hz CTCSS tone code for my old Yeasu ft-480r to open up repeaters. Another use was to generate 10,125hz Sawtooth and drive an MW6-2 CRT which gives a slow rolling picture due to no Sync. Just shows what's achievable from a smartphone.
