My tried and trusted method is to thoroughtly treat all flight holes twice with the spray can wood worm killer, then I liberally spray the inside of the cabinet to cover all of the bare wood (after having stripped out the electronics) and then seal it in a plastic bag - or if something large like a radiogram - buy some plastic sheeting from a garden centre or tape together a number of opened up black bags. I then leave it for several months and repeat the steps again and reseal up the plastic for another several months.
Might seem over the top, but I have treated some badly infected cabinets and never had a relapse. Otherwise if it is a small thing - as suggested above put it in the freezer for a few weeks.
Personally I would always go over the top to ensure it is killed - nothing worse than refinishing a cabinet and then coming down one morning to see a small hole in your new finish. Also you don't want to infect other wood items in your home. Its just not worth it.
