Radioman Andy if you want some info on the Siglent SDS1202X-E there are several reviews on EEVblog and the view is generally positive. I have used both Siglent and Rigol equipment and at their price point in the market found it good and easy to use.
I use both Analogue and digital scopes and my natural tendency is to reach for an analogue scope first and get out the digital scope when I need the extended measuring features or decoding. On older/vintage equipment my preference is analogue and I seem to use the digital on modern test equipment and digital consumer electronics.

Good luck with your choices.
